Alongside creating work as an artist, since 2008 I have worked as a Creative Practitioner facilitating art and craft workshops for people of all ages, but have specialised in working with 3 – 11 year olds.
This has included gardening projects, community seed swaps, animation, film making, mark making, puppet making, book making and building creative installations in family workshops and school settings. To learn more about this please visit this page.
I also have experience working on community arts events such as parades, lantern festivals and carnivals making giant puppets, masks and costumes. I have worked on events including Hebden Bridge Handmade Parade, Ulverston Lantern Festival, Manchester Day Parade and Skipton Puppet Festival.
Organisations I have worked with include The Lakeland Arts Trust, BBC 21CC, Horse + Bamboo, Handmade Parade, The Waterways Trust and Printfest, plus many others. She has also worked with many schools and community groups in the North West.
In 2016 I trained as a teacher in 16+ education, gaining my Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training. I have taught in both FE and HE settings. There is more information about this here.
